Hi guys.

Great trip to see @theMPCF at Humber last week. You also managed to submit your Individual Event surveys and status reports. If you missed it, get it done! I will return on Monday.

This week we start the Decision Making section of the Event Unit and you should complete the following:
  1. Smile often!
  2. "Less childish, and more Childlike" @theMPCF
  3. Review Event Project Overview and start thinking about your individual Management job requirements and deliverable items.
  4. Create an Agenda and have a Team Meeting and then submit an MOM.
  5. Finalize Event idea and the details. Meet with Teacher and their organization if more details required.
  6. Meet with your team and create a Team Things to Do List to SUBMIT
  7. Complete and SUBMIT an individual Executive Summary of your event idea including details (What, When, Where, Why, and How (it will work). See project description and Rubric.

Sorry, do not forget to keep working on the Interview and Entrepedia Unit 2 now.

I trust everyone had a relaxing March Break with family and friends.

The big news this week is that we are going on a field trip to see the Degree Lecture Series @ Humber College on Wednesday, March 19th with Michael ‘Pinball’ Clemons! Please remember to get your parent signatures and return the FORMS!! We leaver at 10:30 A.M. We will leave from class.

Before the break you should have ....
  1. Met with your Event team to identify your Top 3 Event ideas.
  2. Handed in the Text Scavenger Hunt on the 6 Thinking Hats.
  3. Completed Section 1 (Ideas & Creativity) of the Event Unit.
  4. Completed your Entrepedia topic for Unit 1
  5. Added your Entrepreneurship Web Sites on the Wiki

Here are the next steps with the Enterprising Event Section 2 (Marketing Research)
  1. Ensure your Team Wiki Pages + Manager Pages are created?
  2. Finalize your Event Topic and meet (including MOM) with the Teacher Sponsor of the Organization you will be working with.
  3. Complete your individual Event Research Questionnaire
  4. Create a Things to Do List for your Team (include dates and person responsible)

Finally, I will hand out the Enterprising Person Interview Project, but it will not be due until April 24. You can work with a partner and you may want to start thinking of an Entrepreneur you can interview.

Thanks for completing your Event Management applications. The results are in and I did my best to match who you wanted to work with, your event interests, and friends. As the limit is 6, teams that wanted 7 are split in two. To find the list of team, you must go on the Wiki Event page and create your event team page.

The schedule this week is as follows:
March 3 - Idea Generation and Creativity , Event Teams and Event Wiki page Review
March 4 - Lab 225 - Wiki Work - Add top Entrepreneurship Website, Create Wiki Event Team & Manager pages, Entrepedia
March 5 - Motivational Speaker -  Ty Jackson of Maximized Potential
March 6 - Start Marketing Research section
